The first step to looking good and feeling good about how you look, is feeling good in general.
When you feel good about yourself, you can feel great about everything else. You know that feeling after you've had
four slices of pizza, two pepsis and a candy bar? I do. It's awful. Awful. And you know that feeling after you've just run/walk/jogged three miles? Awful. But you know that feeling the day after you ran/walked/jogged three miles?
Awesome. Simple daily changes can be amazing in the long run.
